Media Release - Statement on the appointment of Justice Bromberg as President of the Australian Law Reform Commission

The Victorian Bar and the Law Institute of Victoria congratulate Justice Mordecai (Mordy) Bromberg on his appointment as President of the Australian Law Reform Commission. 

Justice Bromberg has had a long and distinguished career as a Judge of the Federal Court of Australia. He has brought rigour and care to the consideration of some of the most complex and difficult cases that have come before the Federal Court.  His Honour has at all times approached his role with the independence and fairness that is in the best traditions of the judiciary. 

We are confident that his Honour will serve as President of the Australian Law Reform Commission with distinction, just as he has served as a Judge of the Federal Court.
