In Brief

The news coming out of Israel is deeply distressing. The level of violence and suffering is shocking. The events taking place overseas are having a very real and direct impact upon our members here at home. I have been in contact with a significant number of them, and some Bar Office staff, who have friends and family in the region. They are all affected and, understandably, many are struggling with the stress and horror of it all. My thoughts are with each of them during this terrible period.

Nominations for the Victorian Bar Council Election open Friday, 13 October

The nominations process for the 2023-2024 Victorian Bar Council elections opens this Friday.

Vero Voting has been engaged to conduct the nominations process as well as the voting process (previously, the nominations process was conducted in-house). All eligible financial members will receive an email from Vero Voting which will include a link for members to nominate themselves as a candidate.
