In disciplinary proceedings, Sean Cash appears on behalf of Health Practitioners, Legal Practitioners and other professionals across the board, most notably at VCAT (and the various state and territory equivalents). On behalf of Health Practitioners in particular, he generates written submissions and/or appears regularly at Immediate Action Hearings, Medicare Australia PSR (Professional Standards Review) hearings and in proceedings prosecuted by the Department of Health & Human Services, Victoria Police and/or the Department of Public Prosecutions.
In coronial proceedings, Sean Cash appears in Coroners’ Courts across Australia at Inquests in relation to deaths which arise in medical, workplace and police related contexts. In medical related coronial investigations, he accepts briefs to advise and appear at Inquests on behalf of health practitioners, hospitals, government departments and other organisations, and brings his knowledge and experience of investigatory (including police) practice and procedure when appearing on behalf of interested parties (including employers) in workplace and police related coronial investigations.
In criminal proceedings, Sean Cash appears in all jurisdictions, in both summary and indictable matters. He predominantly appears on behalf of professionals who face allegations which arise out of the practise of their profession and for employers in relation to allegations concerning Occupational Health & Safety.
