Simon Kenny is a criminal defence barrister.
He appears in trials and other indictable criminal proceedings.
From 2004 to 2010 he practised as a solicitor, mainly at the Central Australian Aboriginal Legal Aid Service (CAALAS) in Alice Springs and then briefly at the Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service (VALS) and Victoria Legal Aid in Melbourne.
He is passionate about legal aid and access to justice. He has worked pro bono on cases in Indonesia, Nauru, Singapore, and Myanmar, as well as in Australia. From time to time he works as a trainer with BABSEACLE, an access to justice and legal training NGO based in Laos, operating across Asia.
He is on the Victoria Legal Aid Criminal Trial Preferred Barrister List and holds an Indictable Crime Certificate.
