Mark practises in State taxation law and commercial law.
He also appears in negligence claims arising from motor vehicle collisions (including liability, quantum and hire car disputes).
Prior to coming to the Bar, Mark was a Senior Associate at Minter Ellison, where he worked in the firm’s tax group in Melbourne.
During his time at Minter Ellison, Mark acted for a number of large listed and unlisted entities as well as private companies and individuals. He provided stamp duty and other state tax advice to them in respect of various commercial transactions including restructures, recapitalisations, mergers, property and business acquisitions and disposals, property syndication and property development. Mark also regularly drafted submissions to the State Revenue Offices on behalf of his clients.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours), a Bachelor of Commerce (with a major in Accounting) and an Honours Degree of Bachelor of Commerce. His Honours thesis, on the association between corporate governance and earnings management, was published in an accounting journal.
